Inflate This: Patriots Used Inflated Balls In Second Half

New York Jets v New Engalnd Patriots

Hell yes! To sum up what was reported by WEEI: the balls used in the first half were the “deflated” balls. They used the backup, inflated balls after halftime.

1st Half:

Patriots: 17

Colts: 7

2nd Half:

Patriots: 28

Colts: 0

I’m sensing a correlation here.

Tom Brady’s Stats:

1st Half:

11/21 (52%), 95 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.

2nd Half:

12/14 (86%), 155 yards, 2 TDs.

I’m not great at math, but I am good. If the skills I acquired from AP statistics are correct, I would say that there is a positive correlation between the deficit and the PSI of the footballs used.

This has got to be over, right? Of course not. I’m sure the anti-Patriot heretics will find someway to construe something else out of this, as they always do.
