Goodbye Vince. This is a move that had to happen. Everyone in and around the organization knew it would happen. That’s just the way the Patriots operate. And they need money.
Not that Vince will be forgotten, because he never will. Can’t wait to see that man’s bust in Canton, and his name and number on the ring of honor at Gillette Stadium. Everyone is going to miss their favorite black hole, just eating up opposing running backs at his will. The move makes sense for the Patriots. So while I’m happy they’re making the right decision, that doesn’t mean I’m not sad to see him go. I know Bill has a plan. Bill always has a plan. After all, the last time the Patriots grabbed a DT with the last pick in the first round ending up working out heavily in their favor.
