So about a week ago
I decided it was time for an upgrade. I get bored of looking at the same thing over and over again. I’m a serial rearranger. This isn’t the first time the site will be changing.
But the most obvious change is that we’ve now dropped “.wordpress” from the site’s URL. Cost me an arm and leg. But it needed to be done. Literally every possibility of “stitchedup.com” or “.net” or hyphens or any of that bullshite was taken. So I decided to toss “fm” on the end of the title, because most of the contributors I’ve added (such as our entire battalion of sports bloggers) are involved at the student-run radio station at UMass, WMUA.
Speaking of which, here’s the full list of new contributors:
Brendan Quinn (Virginia Tech ’18, News & Politics/Entertainment)
Mike Knittle (UMass ’18, Sports)
Alex Levitt (UMass ’18, Sports)
Matt Stromski (UMass ’18, Sports)
Oliver Farnum (Bates ’19, News & Politics)
Jack Breck (UMass ’18, Entertainment)
Victor Pusateri (UMass ’18, Sports)
I’ve also changed the header again:
I feel these four photos perfectly illustrate everything this blog stands for: Gronk, the silly part of politics, references to The Office, and bitchin’ music.
And finally we’ve got the new logo.
The “S” stands for “Stitched”. Then there’s a musical note (or a golf club, use your imagination) with an arrow on top, signifying “Up”.
Oh and the period is yellow because I like yellow. And periods are my new thing.
