New ’13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi’ from Michael Bay Looks Surprisingly Promising

This trailer of Michael Bay’s newest project was dropped last night. Upon viewing, I was interested, Masshole John Krasinski starring as a former Navy SEAL who’s been hired by the government to join a team to help protect the US Embassy in Benghazi, Libya. The action looked good, and then of course the words “From Director Michael Bay” flashed across the screen and I got nervous. Michael Bay knows action, no doubt about that, but him directing a ‘ Lone Survivor’ type movie involving real events and real men that died doing what was right, well I wasn’t so sure. Michael Bay is known for two things in his movies, explosions and controversy. His brand of humor, and tendency for making any minority character in his movies nothing more than a cartoon has turned off many viewers. That being said, his movies make a shit-ton of money. As the trailer went on, I was actually impressed, the film seems to focus on the bravery and courage of the security team, as well as blowing shit up, so far I like what I see. I wonder if Bay will include the whole “Government refusing to send reinforcements to help the soldiers which ultimately lead to their doom” part in the movie, hmmmmm. Regardless, I have a feeling that there might be more to Michael Bay than meets the eye, article on that coming soon. Stay tuned
