Cage The Elephant Announce Fourth Studio Album “Tell Me I’m Pretty”

On December 18th, Bowling Green’s own Cage The Elephant will release Tell Me I’m Pretty, their first full-length album since 2013’s Melophobia.

The album is being produced by Dan Auerback of The Black Keys, who has previously produced for Lana Del Rey, The Black Keys, and his new band The Arcs, who released their debut LP Yours, Dreamily last month.

Cage The Elephant also supported the Black Keys for much of their recent “Turn Blue World Tour” shows.

At Firefly this summer, Cage The Elephant was the most scheduled band in the lineup. Meaning on the Firefly app, attendees of the festival who laid out what acts they wanted to see on the app beforehand scheduled Cage The Elephant more that anyone else, including The Killers, Kings of Leon, and Paul McCartney – the festival’s three headliners.

I was actually within spitting distance of the band at said festival (footage below).

^Unfortunately for most of this show, I was trying to not be squished to death as opposed to getting to enjoy the show.

If this fourth album is successful, could we see Cage The Elephant headline their own arena tour next year or in the near future. With popularity growing rapidly, we very well could.
