So here’s the music video. I know what you’re saying. Yes, the lyrics are great, but it’s not loud and fast enough to be an anthem.
That’s where this alternative version of the song comes in:
I’ve never heard a song that encapsulates the spirit of Boston more than this. Obviously there’s the “Boston Never Drinks Alone” line, but I’m more of pointing to the “Always working for the weekend, an uphill battle for a few good nights” lines. This is a unifying drunken sing-along song and I will work the rest of my life to make sure people in the area hear it.
This post also doubles as the acknowledgement that Transit has announced they are calling it quits after ten years as a band. Their last show is April 26th and the Sinclair, and that mofo sold out an hour ago.
Here are my latest attempts at trying to get in.
Hopefully one of them thinks I’m funny or Joe/PJ (singer/bassist) remember me from Providence and hook me up. Am I above driving form Amherst to Boston without a ticket? You’re talking to the kid who once went to a Noel solo show alone and made friends with the 40 year old couple next to him. Anything can be done.
