Sullivan Hits Game-Winner for Honey Dew

With five seconds left and a tie game, Jimmy Sullivan took the inbounds pass and drove into the lane and put up a runner off the backboard that fell through and won the game for Honey Dew (2-4). HD started on a 17-4 run, before short handed Crown Trophy (3-4), went a 17-0 on their own to take a 21-17 halftime lead. The second half was back and forth until Sullivan (8 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals) hit the game winner. HD also had big games from Matt Connolly (9 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal), Mike Crovo (8 points, 9 rebounds) and Matt Stromski (9 points, 3 rebounds). CT only had 6 players, and was led once again by a monster game from Will Vigneron (15 points, 19 rebounds, 2 assists). James Traversy had another solid game with 7 points and 8 rebounds. Crown Trophy ends their season Monday against Stoneham Sports Center while Honey Dew faces Eastern Bank on Wednesday.
Dockside 50, Eastern Bank 30
Behind a strong second half from TJ Pelsar (13 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals), Dockside (4-2) pulled away from Eastern Bank (1-5). In their second matchup of the season, Tom Caron (10 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal) had his strongest game of the season. After pulling out to a 22-15 halftime lead, Dockside had it’s best half of the season to pull away and start to secure its place atop the league. EB was led once again by Evan Federico (8 points, 10 rebounds) and Nick Campbell (10 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists). Mike McKenna (10 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals) once again had a strong game for Dockside, who finishes up next week against Brueggers & Jamba Juice then Stoneham Sports Center. Eastern Bank faces Honey Dew for playoff seeding on Wednesday.
