On March 2nd, 1977, magic happened.
Christopher Anthony John Martin, then-future lead singer of then-future band
Pectoralz Starfish Coldplay and the Messiah of quirky and sorta-awkward white guys, was born in Whitestone, Devon, England.
Honestly, there’s not a whole lot to say about the guy that can’t be told by the man himself through videos. All I know is that I’m thankful for *almost* everything he’s put out (not linking “Princess of China” because I don’t wanna give that video the satisfaction of being clicked on; do it yourself if you wanna be tortured) and I hope he continues to be a kid at heart.
And to boot, Coldplay dropped another song that will be on the Kaleidoscope EP, called “Hypnotized.” Not a bad tune; it’s a long one, but it will bridge the gap nicely to June 2, the day the EP drops.
So take a walk with me through memory lane as we reflect on Chris Martin: the man, the myth, and the legend.
Sorry if some of these videos look like they were recorded with a potato.
Happy birthday Chris, luv u.
